Farrelly and Healy have appeals turned down

Cork City FC have been informed that their appeals to have Gareth Farrelly and Colin Healy cleared to play for the club have been rejected.

Both appeals on similar grounds and are now being examined by the club solicitor Olan Kelleher.

Manager Damien Richardson has revealed his "extreme disappointment" at the outcome but said that his disappointment "pales in comparison to the disappointment felt by the two lads".

Richardson confirmed that Cork City do have the right to appeal the decision but stated that he does not know whether there is a point in doing so as the appeal would be based on the same grounds.

It appears from the decision that neither Healy or Farrelly will be allowed to play for any club until July.
