Reading out for Spurs trip

Reading will be without skipper Graeme Murty for Sunday’s trip to Tottenham after the right-back reported back from Scotland duty with a calf injury.

That should allow record signing Greg Halford to make his first start. Ulises de la Cruz is another possibility in that position but has yet to return from international duty with Ecuador.

Long-term injury victims Ibrahima Sonko and Bobby Convey (both knee) are the only other absentees from the first-team pool.
