The 19-year-old, who picked up the injury playing for Holland under-21s in midweek, will have more tests today but manager Gordon Strachan expects to be without him for a month.

The Dutchman will miss the game against Dundee United at Tannadice in the Bank of Scotland Premier League tomorrow as will stopper Stephen McManus.

The Scotland defender was sent off in the Hoops’ defeat at Falkirk almost a fortnight ago and will miss the next three SPL games.

Youngsters Cillian Sheridan and Theodore Bjarnason have been added to the squad.

Provisional squad: Boruc, Gravesen, Pressley, Naylor, Hartley, Lennon, Nakamura, Jarosik, McGeady, Miller, Zurawski, Beattie, Brown, O’Dea, Caldwell, Vennegoor of Hesselink, Sheridan, Bjarnason.
