Pat's stay top with win against Derry
Derry City 0 St Patrick's Athletic 1
In-form Anthony Murphy hit the only goal of the game as St Patrick's Athletic avenged last season's FAI Cup Final defeat to Derry to stay clear at the top of the table tonight.
Derry started well, but it was St Pat's who went in a goal to the good at the break.
That came on 42 minutes when Derry failed to defend John Frost's corner and midfielder Murphy glanced his header to the net.
Derry huffed an puffed throughout the second half, but never seriously threaten St Pat's 100% start to the league season.
