Shevchenko setback for Chelsea

Chelsea have been given another injury scare on the eve of tomorrow night’s Barclays Premiership clash at Manchester City after Andriy Shevchenko limped out of training.

The Ukrainian captain was injured in a tackle and appeared to hurt his left ankle during their training session this morning. He was immediately helped from the pitch and is a doubt for tomorrow’s fixture.

Captain John Terry is certain to return for Chelsea and Michael Essien should be fit but Joe Cole (foot) remains a long-term absentee and Mikel Jon Obi is suspended.
