Striking options for City

Manchester City strikers Darius Vassell and Paul Dickov could come into contention for the FA Cup quarter-final against Blackburn on Sunday.

Vassell (hamstring) and Dickov (toe) are both on the mend after injury.

Manager Stuart Pearce told www.mcfc.co.uk: “We hope Vass comes through this week okay and gives me a selection problem.

“He did a decent session on Monday and then trained with us. Obviously with hamstring injuries you never know because they can be a touch unpredictable.”

Dickov came through unscathed after playing 58 minutes for the reserves in the 1-1 draw against Preston yesterday.
