Magpies lifted by duo's return

Newcastle have been boosted by the return from injury of midfielder Emre and full-back Stephen Carr ahead of tomorrow’s UEFA Cup visit of AZ Alkmaar.

The Turkish international is available after an 11-game absence with a calf problem, while the Irishman has shaken off a thigh injury which has sidelined him for the last five matches.
