Cork City's Irish B international Roy O'Donovan had a shout for a penalty turned down while skipper Dan Murray hit the bar as Damien Richardson's side had to settle for a scoreless draw at Stangemore Park.

O'Donovan was hauled down by Swifts defender Adam McMinn two minutes into the second half but appeals for a spot kick were waved away by referee Frank Hiles.

Murray then thought he had snatched the three points in the final minute but his lob was brilliantly turned onto the Swifts' bar by keeper Dwayne Nelson.
