Blackburn boss Mark Hughes appeared to have Wednesday night’s Barclays Premiership clash with Arsenal on his mind as he made four changes for today’s Ewood Park clash with Portsmouth.

Top scorer Benni McCarthy was joined on the bench by David Dunn and Zurab Khizanishvili, while Ryan Nelsen was left out as Stephane Henchoz, Chris Samba, Aaron Mokoena and Shabani Nonda all started.
