West Ham have stressed that Alan Curbishley's job is not under threat despite today's 4-0 defeat at Charlton.

West Ham have stressed that Alan Curbishley's job is not under threat despite today's 4-0 defeat at Charlton.

There has been claims that chairman Eggert Magnusson has given Curbishley a deadline to turn things around but the Icelandic businessman has strenuously denied this.

The Hammers released a statement tonight insisting Curbishley's position is not in jeopardy.

"Alan's future is not in doubt," a club spokesman told PA Sport. "Obviously everyone is disappointed with today's result but the chairman remains fully committed to Alan."
