Keely re-appointed as new Shelbourne manager

Dermot Keely has been confirmed as the new manager of Shelbourne.

The league champions, relegated this week to the First Division of the FAI League of Ireland, had been without a manager since Pat Fenlon took over at Derry City after the end of last season.

Keely had previously in charge of Shels between 1998 and 2002 winning two League Championships and one FAI Cup.

He will spend the next couple of days assembling a squad, which may prove difficult with the transfer window closing on Wednesday.

The club lost its entire squad after the financial troubles of last season.
