Gabriel Agbonlahor is hoping to keep his Aston Villa place despite Martin O’Neill shattering his 100% appearance record for the season.

The England Under-21 man had played every minute of every game in the current campaign before being substituted in the latter stages of the 2-0 defeat by Reading a fortnight ago.
