Shelbourne's future to be decided today
Shelbourne are waiting anxiously for news on their future today.
The troubled Dublin club has submitted its accounts to the FAI and should find out today whether they can continue in the eircom Premier League for this season.
They may be docked points, demoted to Division One or even expelled from the league altogether and the FAI have confirmed to INN Sport that Waterford Utd would be promoted to the eircom Premier in that instance.
Owner Ollie Byrne is expected to step down today to allow Irish Sports Council chairman Ossie Kilkenny's takeover.
This deal will cover all the club's debts and ensure the Reds stay in business.
