All change for Celtic

Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink was suspended while Derek Riordan was injured in last week’s Tennent’s Scottish Cup win over Livingston at Almondvale, but dropped to the bench were Darren O’Dea, Paul Telfer and Jiri Jarosik.

Strachan drafted in Craig Beattie, Aiden McGeady, Steven Pressley, Kenny Miller and Mark Wilson who was playing his first game since he injured a knee against Rangers last November.

The visitors also showed five changes from the side which beat Gretna in the Scottish Cup last week.

Skipper Rob Jones who was suspended and right-back Steven Whittaker was ruled out with a groin strain with Dean Shiels, Ivan Sproule starting on the bench and Ross Campbell out altogether.

Easter Road manager John Collins brought in Chris Hogg, Kevin McCann, Guillaume Beuzelin, Lewis Stevenson and Michael Stewart.

Celtic: Boruc, Wilson, Pressley, McManus, Naylor, Nakamura, Lennon, Hartley, McGeady, Beattie, Miller. Subs: Brown, O’Dea, Gravesen, Sno, Jarosik, Telfer, Sheridan.

Hibernian: McNeil, McCann, Martis, Hogg, Murphy, Stewart, Beuzelin, Scott Brown, Stevenson, Fletcher, Lynch. Subs: Simon Brown, Sproule, Shiels, Benjelloun, Morrow, McCluskey, Chisholm.
