Dado Prso has been given the all-clear by a specialist to stay at Rangers for another season.

The 32-year-old striker, who signed from Monaco in 2004, has suffered persistent knee problems during his time at Ibrox and there were fears that he would retire in May.

However, the former Croatia international, currently sidelined with a hamstring problem, will now look to discuss a new contract at Ibrox.

His current deal is due to expire this summer, but Prso’s agent, Ranko Stojic, told the Daily Record: “Dado has been told he can play on for the minimum of one more season.

“He has had his problems with his knee in the past but he is very happy at the moment.

“Dado wants to play on as long as possible and he is feeling much better than he was a few weeks ago.

“He will see how things go before now and the end of the season but the doctor has said there are no risks for him or his club and there are no problems.”
