Upson denies Bruce rift

Matthew Upson has insisted his relationship with Birmingham manager Steve Bruce is “fine” as the central defender anxiously awaits the results of the scan on the calf injury suffered during his West Ham debut.

Upson has spoken to Bruce since his £7.5m (€11.4m) move from St Andrews which left the Blues chief angry at his board of directors for selling the player only hours before the January transfer window closed.
