Pedersen double gives Rovers win

Morten Gamst Pedersen fired a last-gasp free-kick winner to give Blackburn a 2-1 victory over Sheffield United at Ewood Park.

Pedersen had headed the home side into a 22nd minute lead they scarcely deserved after Jon Stead, Rob Hulse and Nick Montgomery had missed early chances for the Blades.

Stead knocked home a Hulse flick-on three minutes later for the equaliser but, after Rovers had home debutant Stephen Warnock sent off in injury time for a second bookable offence, Pedersen snatched the points.
