Barton doesn't need to say sorry

Joey Barton will not be made to apologise to Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard when he links up with the England squad, according to coach Steve McClaren.

The Manchester City midfielder was yesterday called up to the national squad for the first time, where he will join the two players he criticised in a recent interview.
