Leeds’ worst fears have been realised after scans confirmed striker David Healy has broken his arm.

The Northern Ireland international, who will miss his country’s clash with Wales next week, sustained the injury in the closing stages of Leeds’ 2-1 midweek win at Hull.

Healy will be sidelined for at least a fortnight and manager Dennis Wise will now be forced to bring in cover on loan with Tore Andre Flo already ruled out with a fractured foot.

Wise’s injury list grew even longer as Eddie Lewis has also been ruled out of Leeds’ weekend trip to Norwich.

Lewis limped off late on at The KC Stadium with a leg injury and will have a scan to determine the full extent of the problem.

Leeds were without skipper Kevin Nicholls, vice-captain Shaun Derry, Ian Westlake, Robbie Elliott and Ian Moore against Hull and it has been confirmed Gary Kelly has now been ruled out with an ankle problem after shaking off a long-term back injury.
