Late test for Long

Striker Shane Long faces a late fitness test on a thigh problem ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Birmingham, with a similar problem set to delay the comeback of fellow forward Dave Kitson.

Already ruled out are striker Kevin Doyle (hamstring), defender Ibrahima Sonko (knee) and utility man Brynjar Gunnarsson (hamstring) but left-back Nicky Shorey has recovered from food poisoning.
