Sonko out with knee injury

Reading defender Ibrahima Sonko has had damaged cartilage in his knee repaired after an exploratory operation today but is set for a spell on the sidelines.

The Senegal centre-back sustained the injury after falling awkwardly in the first half of the Royals’ 3-1 victory over Sheffield United on Saturday.
