O'Callaghan signs for Ipswich Town

Cork City have reached agreement with Ipswich Town over the signing of George O'Callaghan, for an undisclosed fee.

The Leeside favourite has been on trial with the English side since October.

The 27-year-old had himself placed on the transfer list voluntarily after falling out with City boss Damien Richardson last summer.

He was unhappy with a fine imposed on him by the manager.

O'Callaghan previously played for Port Vale for four seasons after joining them as a teenager.
