Newcastle youngster Paul Huntington cancelled out Jermain Defoe’s opener in a thrilling first half at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham created a host of chances early on and took the lead when Defoe finished from close range in the 14th minute.

Huntington smashed in the leveller two minutes later, and both sides could have added to the scoring before the interval.
