Parker fit to face Spurs

Newcastle will have captain Scott Parker available after suspension for Sunday’s Barclays Premiership trip to Tottenham.

Parker could be joined by Turkish international Emre, who has recovered from a groin injury, although Nicky Butt has been laid low by a virus this week and is a doubt.

Goalkeeper Steve Harper is expected to return to the bench for the first time since undergoing hernia surgery, but Damien Duff, Michael Owen and Charles N’Zogbia (all knee), Shola Ameobi and Olivier Bernard (both hip), Peter Ramage, Celestine Babayaro and Craig Moore (all hamstring), Titus Bramble (calf) and Stephen Carr (foot) remain on the sidelines.
