Stead set for Blades bow

Striker Jon Stead goes straight into the Sheffield United squad for tomorrow’s Barclays Premiership clash against Portsmouth at Bramall Lane.

Stead signed for the Blades yesterday in a £750,000 (€1.1m) transfer from Sunderland, but another new capture in defender Matthew Kilgallon is out with an ankle injury.

Striker Rob Hulse returns from a one-match suspension, but captain Chris Morgan is again out as he serves the second of a three-game ban.
