Charlton have had a £1.3m (€1.9m) bid for Sheffield Wednesday defender Madjid Bougherra rejected by the Championship club.

Charlton have had a £1.3m (€1.9m) bid for Sheffield Wednesday defender Madjid Bougherra rejected by the Championship club.

The 24-year-old has been in fine form for the Owls since moving to Hillsborough in the summer and has been an ever-present in their Championship campaign – scoring twice.
