Valente set for brief absence

Everton defender Nuno Valente is likely to be miss just two matches after being told he will only be out of action until the end of the month with a knee injury.

Valente has had a scan on the injury he sustained in the FA Cup defeat by Blackburn on Sunday and will not be out for as long as originally expected.
