Trevor Sinclair is aiming to win a new deal at Manchester City.

The 33-year-old former England winger has been troubled by a knee injury this season and is out of contract in the summer.

Sinclair, however, is hoping to kick on after coming off the bench in the draw against Sheffield Wednesday in the FA Cup last Sunday.

It was his first outing since the Newcastle match on November 11, with manager Stuart Pearce bringing him on when Hatem Trabelsi was injured.

Sinclair said: “I need to show some good form between now and the end of the season.

“Perhaps then I can twist the manager’s arm to keep me on.”
