Ireland goalkeeper Shay Given returns from injury to make his 400th Newcastle appearance today as manager Glenn Roeder makes three changes for the Premiership trip to Everton.

Given, passed fit after a groin injury, replaces 38-year-old Pavel Srnicek, while Emre and Nolberto Solano come in for Antoine Sibierski and teenager David Edgar.

Everton boss David Moyes also makes three changes, handing skipper Phil Neville an immediate return to the side after serving a one-match ban against Middlesbrough on Boxing Day.

Neville replaces Simon Davies while Nuno Valente and Andy van der Meyde come in for James McFadden and Gary Naysmith.

Everton: Howard, Neville, Yobo, Lescott, Nuno Valente, Osman, Carsley, Arteta, Van der Meyde, Johnson, Anichebe.

Replacements: Wright, Weir, Beattie, Davies, McFadden.

Newcastle: Given, Solano, Ramage, Taylor, Huntington, Milner, Butt, Parker, Emre, Dyer, Martins.

Replacements: Srnicek, Rossi, Sibierski, Edgar, Pattison.
