Paul Jewell has defended Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho after he received widespread criticism for 'card-waving' at Newcastle.

Paul Jewell has defended Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho after he received widespread criticism for 'card-waving' at Newcastle.

Mourinho was seen to gesticulate towards the referee at St James’ Park following a foul committed on one his players during the sides’ Carling Cup quarter-final on Wednesday.
