Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admits he is excited about the club's future as equity firm Dubai International Capital consider a £450m (€670m) Anfield takeover.

DIC, the investment arm of Dubai's billionaire ruler Sheikh Mohammed, are presently inspecting the club's accounts with a view to making a formal offer.
