Warnock rules out big-money gamble

Sheffield United manager Neil Warnock has warned fans he will not be spending silly money in next month’s transfer window.

Warnock’s hand was strengthened this week with the news the club are to raise £10m (€14.8m) via a convertible loan notes issue, with £5million going towards new players.
