Watford 'keeper to the rescue

Watford goalkeeper Richard Lee performed heroics to earn the Hornets a battling Barclays Premiership draw at Manchester City.

Lee produced a string of fine saves to keep the Blues at bay, the best of them denying Joey Barton’s curling free-kick.

The result maintained City’s unbeaten home record. Manager Stuart Pearce would have expected much more, although his team were denied what seemed a certain penalty two minutes from time when Jay Demerit appeared to send Bernardo Corradi tumbling.
