Davis blow for Blades
Sheffield United will be without centre-back Claude Davis for the Barclays Premiership visit of Charlton on Saturday.
The Jamaican defender suffered a knee injury while making a block in Tuesday night’s win over Watford, and while scans showed the injury was not as bad as had been feared, he is expected to miss out against the Addicks.
Derek Geary, Mikele Leigertwood and Chris Morgan also suffered first-half knocks at Watford and Blades boss Neil Warnock is leaving it until Saturday lunchtime to finalise his squad. Michael Tonge (ankle) and Chris Armstrong (knee) miss out again but could return for the home clash with Aston Villa on December 11.
Provisional squad: Kenny, Bromby, Morgan, Jagielka, Hulse, A Quinn, Kazim-Richards, Kozluk, Gillespie, Leigertwood, Geary, Nade, Webber, Montgomery, Law, Bennett, Short, Kabba.
