Geordie Steven Taylor claimed the European headlines with a late winner to send his side into the knockout stages of the UEFA Cup.

The 20-year-old powered home an 86th-minute header from an Albert Luque to see off Celta Vigo and ease his side further clear at the top of group H.

Frenchman Antoine Sibierski had earlier dragged Glenn Roeder’s men back on to level terms with a 36th-minute header after Fabian Canobbio had put the visitors in front.
