Arteta dedication to fallen hero

Everton midfielder Mikel Arteta has dedicated his winning goal against Bolton to a soldier killed in Iraq.

The club observed a period of silence before the 1-0 victory to the late Corporal Ben Nowak. He was well known at Everton for working with the club's youngsters.

Arteta said: "It is not nice what happened. Also this week I lost someone from a part of my family.

"It was really hard but he would be in heaven watching the game and enjoying it.

"If I had the chance to make him happy then I am more than pleased for him and his family."

Arteta added on evertonTV: "It was a nice goal, I wouldn't like to say it was my best but it was an important one.

"We had to work really hard and be organised because they know how to put the pressure on."
