Kenny given all clear

Sheffield United goalkeeper Paddy Kenny was given the all-clear to start his side’s Barclays Premiership clash with leaders Manchester United at Bramall Lane.

Kenny was involved in an incident earlier this week in which his left eyebrow was bitten off in a brawl.

Centre-back Claude Davis returned from a thigh injury for the Blades, while last week’s hero Colin Kazim-Richards started following his goalscoring feat in the 2-2 draw with Bolton.

Surprisingly, manager Neil Warnock gave youngster Nicky Law his first start, dropping Nick Montgomery to the bench.

The visitors were unchanged following last week’s 1-0 win at Blackburn.
