Wigan skipper Arjan de Zeeuw and striker Emile Heskey are serious doubts for Sunday’s visit of Aston Villa to the JJB Stadium.

De Zeeuw required two painkilling injections to get through last Saturday’s win over Charlton due to a toe injury, and along with Heskey who has a calf problem, has not trained all week.
