Kavanagh scores in a one-sided game

Patrick Kavanagh scored the only goal of a surprisingly one-sided game as UCD moved up to seventh in the table.

College had the better of the first half but couldn’t find a way past Bohs’ keeper Stephen O’Brien.

Kavanagh brought a good stop out of O’Brien midway through before Conor Sammon, a minute later, headed wide from just six yards.

The only goal arrived on 67 minutes when a slip in the Bohs defence gifted the ball to Kavanagh who drilled a shot past O’Brien for no more than UCD deserved.
