In-form Pat’s crush Bray
St. Patrick’s Athletic 5 Bray Wanderers 1
St. Pat’s made it four wins on the spin as they warmed up nicely for next week’s FAI Cup semi final with this facile victory tonight.
Saints, who’d beaten Bray three times already this season, took the lead on 18 minutes.
Bray defender Ronan Ivory was robbed by Sean O’Connor who ran on to square the ball for Anto Murphy to slip past Chris O’Connor.
Trevor Molloy fired home from Michael Foley’s free kick to make it 2-0 on 29 minutes.
Andrei Georgescu, who scored both goals in Bray's win over champions Cork last week, got a goal back on 32 minutes. But Murphy got his second to restore Saints’ two-goal cushion three minutes before half-time.
Substitute Mark Quigley fired home a fourth before Michael Roche put through his own goal on 90 minutes to complete the rout.
