Julio Cruz scored twice in the opening nine minutes as Inter Milan beat Spartak Moscow 2-1 at the San Siro – their first victory in Group B tonight.

Roman Pavluchenko pulled one back for the Russians but the Italians held on after Dejan Stankovic’s effort was ruled out for offside in the 76th minute.
