Shaun Maloney came closest to breaking the deadlock in the first-half of Celtic’s Champions League Group F match against Benfica at Parkhead.

The Hoops midfielder fired in a spectacular close-range volley after just two minutes only to be denied by Portuguese keeper Quim who tipped the ball over the bar for a corner.
