Tomorrow D-day for Robson
Ireland manager Steve Staunton and the FAI chief executive John Delaney are set to meet Bobby Robson tomorrow to discuss his future role as the International Football Consultant to the Irish team.
The Irish duo will go to England to meet Robson who has indicated that he wishes to return to his post as advisor to Staunton claiming that he has recovered from recent surgery and is fit for the job.
Robson underwent the surgery to remove a brain tumour and is expected to be given the all-clear by his medical team to resume football duties.
His return is expected to be welcomed by Irish fans who see it as a boost for the Irish manager.
Ireland's next Euro 2008 qualifier is against San Marino in Landsdowne Road on Wednesday, 15 November.
