Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard admits the stick he received for some below-par performances in the World Cup did play on his mind.

Many were hoping Lampard would transfer his goalscoring form at club level onto the world stage, but that never materialised in a disappointing tournament for Lampard and the England team as a whole.
