Doyle takes dip in fitness bid
Republic of Ireland striker Kevin Doyle has been forced to endure the chill of the Irish Sea in a bid to be fit for Saturday’s Euro 2008 qualifier against Cyprus.
The Reading forward sustained an ankle strain in Sunday’s 1-0 win at West Ham, making him a serious doubt to face the Cypriots at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.
