Arca makes reserves comeback

Middlesbrough defender Julio Arca played 68 minutes on his return to action after recovering from a broken foot.

The 25-year-old Argentinian turned out for the reserves in their 1-1 draw at Blackburn last night.

It was the former Sunderland defender’s first action since breaking his foot in the 3-2 Barclays Premiership defeat at Reading on the opening day of the season.

Central defender Robert Huth, a £6m (€8.9m) summer signing from Chelsea, again played the full 90 minutes as he continued his fight for full match fitness, while there was also a start for experienced midfielder Ray Parlour.

However, it was young striker Danny Graham who ensured the spoils were shared with a second-half equaliser at Ewood Park after Matt Derbyshire had put the home side ahead with just 80 seconds gone.
