Allback unimpressed with Gravesen

FC Copenhagen striker Marcus Allback insists his team-mates were unimpressed with Celtic midfielder Thomas Gravesen during the Champions League tie on Tuesday.

The Hoops claimed all three points courtesy of a Kenny Miller penalty against the Danish side.

But the ex-Aston Villa forward accused Gravesen of being “afraid to tackle” him during the game at Celtic Park.

Allback said: “We did not think too much about Thomas Gravesen. We tried to just play our game and we know how he is.

“I was involved in one incident with him. He was so afraid to tackle me that he put his foot right up to cover himself and into me. So I told him that.

“I said ’You’re afraid to put a proper tackle in, Gravesen.’ He did not take it too well.”

But the 33-year-old believes Celtic midfielders Shunsuke Nakamura and Aiden McGeady caused Copenhagen the most problems during the game.

Allback said: “Both caused danger. That was the difference, they were getting wide and getting crosses in. They did not score from those openings, but I feel they did create something.”
