Dublin returns to Carrow Road
Dion Dublin has joined Norwich on a free transfer until the end of the season.
The 37-year-old former Manchester United, Aston Villa, Coventry and Celtic striker, who can also play as a centre-back, was released by the Hoops in the summer and has now been snapped up by Canaries boss Nigel Worthington.
âIâm delighted to capture such an experienced, quality player who will be a valuable addition to the squad and in the dressing room,â Worthington told his clubâs official website www.canaries.co.uk.
âHeâs a big character and a top quality player whose ability and professionalism will be a big plus for us.
âHis main position is as a striker and thatâs where Iâm looking for him to be involved, although obviously he can also provide cover in the centre of defence as well.â
Dublin began his professional career at Carrow Road but made no first-team appearances before joining Cambridge in August 1988.
