A game of two halves at Belfield failed to produce a goal in this mid-table battle.

St. Pat’s had the better of the first half, but wasted the best opening five minutes before the break. Mark Rooney put Mark Rutherford away to cross only for Anto Murphy to shoot wide.

Darren Quigley, in the UCD goal, made a fine save from a Keith Fahey free kick on 55 minutes before College dominated much of the remainder of a game that petered out to its unsatisfactory conclusion.
