Limerick will hope for another League Cup success over Derry City when they meet in tonight’s League Cup semi-final at Hogan Park.

In 2002, Limerick caused a huge upset when they beat Derry in the League Cup final and they will hope history repeats itself tonight.

But they must plan without a Gareth Cooney, who is cup-tied, or a manager, with chairman Danny Drew remaining in the dug out for this game though he hopes to appoint a new full time boss next week.

Derry travel to Limerick with captain Peter Hutton back in contention after being laid low with blood poisoning.
